Artist Statement:
This sculptural work explores emotional ties within relationships and features characters that hyperbolically depict intimate sentiments and emotional states. Women are featured most prominently enacting scenes of post traumatic stress in the aftermath of relationships and sexual relations. Formally the sculptures reference the longstanding tradition of collectible ceramic figurines that depict quaint scenes of courtship and every day life.
